We are delighted to announce the 4th Global Diaspora Week (GDWeek) is now launched.
The 4th GDWeek will be promoting the theme, “Global Diaspora, Local Impact: Advancing Systematic Approaches in Development and Humanitarian Efforts”.
Over the past few years, we have witnessed growing success among diaspora organizations on breaking down silos and creating synergies within our global community. In this GDWeek, we will be discussing how we can coordinate these successful synergies to strengthen diaspora engagement collectively. From 21- 27 January, with a weeklong of meaningful events themed for specific diaspora needs, the outcomes will all contribute to architecting the ecosystem that will enable coordination of the global diaspora organization (DO) sector for growth, sustainable development and humanitarian assistance.
On behalf of the Board and all supporters of GDC, it is our utmost honor to hear from Ms Amy Pope, Director General of International Organization for Migration (IOM), UN Migration Agency who has given us the opening remarks for the Global Diaspora Week.
During the course of the week, participants will learn about best practices from so many diaspora leaders who will be sharing their insights of coordinating and engaging their communities. At the GDAssembly, we will also be featuring more activities including the launch of the Global Diaspora Tree concept, and introducing on the Global Diaspora Expo initiative and hearing about the planning progress of the Young Diaspora Summit.
We invite all diaspora organizations, leaders, supporters, stakeholders and partners to register for these transformative events. Register now to secure your attendance and be part of this impactful journey. Your involvement at 4th GDWeek not only supports the global diaspora community but also helps strengthen the global solidarity for all.
